Having only just finished “Apple Pie,” his first feature, Howard got the job to film for Warner Bros. Records what was to be one of the first rock videos ever made. It was a new concept — MTV didn’t even exist yet — and the video was shown in theaters all across Europe as a short before the feature. It then was shown on The Midnight Special TV show.
