Spontaneous Combustion

Summary

A young man finds out that his parents had been used in an atomic-weapons experiment shortly before he was born, and that the results have had some unexpected effects on him.

When Howard first arrived in Hollywood in 1988 his manager got him the completely unexpected assignment of writing a screenplay with legendary writer/director Tobe Hooper (Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Poltergeist). It was a crazy ride – many all night sessions with Tobe, writing the screenplay in two sleepless weeks – that culminated in the filming of the movie. Howard also served as Associate Producer on the film.
